Step 3: Click Change connection properties
The previous step opens up the Settings page with the Status tab selected. From the status tab, click on the Change connection properties.
Step 4: Scroll Down
Scroll to the bottom to find the required settings to keep the metered connection ON.
Step 5: Keep the Metered Connection ON
Just enable the settings to save your connection as a metered one.
Metered connection: If you have a limited data plan and want more control over data usage, make your connection a metered network. Some apps might work differently to reduce data usage when you’re connected to this network.
The metered connection also pauses the OneDrive sync to limit the data usage. It helps to stop the windows update to continue. If you still want to enable the usage of data for particular applications, you can choose to do so for example by resuming the OneDrive or updating the windows.
